Power BI Dashboards for Yardi in Singapore

Portfolio Reporting Across Every Property, in One View

Yardi runs the properties. Seeing the portfolio is a different problem — one that usually gets solved with exports, a shared spreadsheet, and someone spending the first week of every month rebuilding it. We connect Yardi to Power BI and build the portfolio view properly.

Why Power BI for Yardi

Yardi Reports by Property. You Need to See the Portfolio.

Property-Level, Not Portfolio-Level

Yardi answers questions about a building well. Ask about the portfolio — occupancy across all assets, which properties are pulling the numbers down, where the exposure sits — and you're assembling it yourself from exports.

You can pull today's rent roll. Seeing how occupancy and passing rent have moved over eighteen months means keeping every previous export and stitching them together.

The Rent Roll Is a Moment, Not a Trend

Lease Expiry Arrives Late

Expiries are visible if you go looking for them. They're much less visible eighteen months out, across the whole portfolio, in the order that would let you actually do something about them.

Budget Variance Lives in Excel

Actuals in Yardi, budgets in a spreadsheet, variance calculated by hand each month. It works until someone changes the budget file, and then it quietly stops working.

Yardi Data Connect

Where Does This Sit Alongside Yardi Data Connect?

Data Connect is Yardi's own route for getting Voyager data into Power BI, and it's a sound foundation. If you have it, we build on it rather than around it.
What it gives you is access to the data. What it doesn't give you is a model shaped around how your portfolio is actually structured, or dashboards built for the questions your investment committee asks. That's the part we do.
If you don't have Data Connect, there are other routes to the same place. We'll work out which is appropriate during scoping — it depends on your Voyager setup and what your IT team is comfortable supporting.

The Five Dashboards

Five finance views, not five generic templates — each built to your chart of accounts and reading from the same model, so the numbers reconcile. Click through to see what each one covers.

01

Portfolio Overview

Every asset on one screen — occupancy, passing rent, NOI, and how each property is tracking. The view that currently takes a week to assemble.

Portfolio Overview
02

Rent Roll & Occupancy

Current rent roll with history behind it, so occupancy and passing rent read as trends rather than snapshots. Filter by asset, tenant, or unit type.

Rent Roll & Occupancy
03

Leasing & Expiry Profile

Expiries laid out across the next twenty-four months, weighted by rent at risk, so renewals get worked in priority order instead of chronological panic.

Leasing & Expiry Profile
Expiring units Rent at risk
04

NOI & Budget Variance

Actual against budget by property and by line, with the variance calculated in the model rather than in a spreadsheet that someone has to maintain.

Receivables & Delinquency

Arrears by tenant and by asset, ageing, and a working list of what needs chasing — visible before it becomes a write-off conversation.

Who We Build This For

Asset managers who need portfolio performance without waiting for the monthly pack

Property finance teams rebuilding the same variance analysis every month

Investment and fund teams reporting to committees or investors on a fixed cycle

Groups running multiple entities or funds where consolidation currently happens in Excel

If you run a handful of properties and Yardi's own reports cover it, you probably don't need this yet. We'll tell you if that's what we find.

Yardi and Power BI: Common Questions

Do we need Yardi Data Connect for this?
Not necessarily. Where you have it, we use it — it's a sound foundation. Where you don't, there are other routes to the same data. We work out which fits your setup during scoping.
Will this work with Yardi Voyager?
Yes. Voyager is what most Singapore portfolios are running and it's what we build against.
Can it handle multiple funds or entities?
Yes — that's usually the reason teams come to us. We map your fund, entity and asset structure into the model so consolidation is built in rather than assembled monthly.
Can we combine Yardi with other data?
Yes. Valuations, debt schedules, ESG metrics, capex trackers — anything you currently hold outside Yardi can sit in the same model, which is where most of the value tends to appear.
Who owns the dashboards?
You do. Built in your Power BI workspace under your licences. If you stop working with us, nothing switches off.
How current is the data?
Depends on the connection method. An API connection is close to real-time; a scheduled extract usually updates overnight, so numbers are current every morning. For portfolio reporting, overnight is almost always enough.
Are there grants available in Singapore?
Singapore businesses have several support schemes for digital and analytics projects. See our grants page for current criteria.
